Dessie resides in Houston Texas where entertaining is her full time career. Her style of Drag is Glam Rock mixed with a Las Vegas Showgirl and a simple hat. Dessie has also appeared in the Netflix Series AJ & the Queen starring RuPaul. She has chased the dream of being Miss Gay America for 10 years and encourages you to never give up on your dream. Thrilled to be in Tennessee, she wishes the contestants and promoters of Miss Gay Southern America all the best.

Dex Poindexter aka Dextaci is a female impersonator from West Monroe, LA . Professionally, he works as the Licensing and Vendor Management lead for various government contracts and by night he brings to life the stage illusion of Dextaci- the Songbird of Lousiana! Dex has sang in many different venues around the country ranging from the Jackie Gleason Theater in Miami, FL to Carnegie Hall in New York City and was the featured soloist at the American Choral Director’s Association in the spring of 2008. Shortly after high school he auditioned for American Idol season 9 and as Dextaci auditioned for season 14 of America’s Got Talent in the illusion of Adele. Dextaci is most known for her live celebrity impersonation of 5 time Grammy award winning artist Wynonna Judd which contributed to her growth within the pageant circuit. She is a former Miss Gay Louisiana USofA at Large, Miss Louisiana FFI at Large and Miss Gay Louisiana America. In January of 2022 Dextaci accomplished her ultimate goal in the art form of female impersonation and was crowned the 50th anniversary Miss Gay America 2022 in Little Rock, AR where she raised money for dozens of charities across the country. While reigning as Miss Gay America, she was able to meet the standing President -Joe Biden and Vice President Kamala Harris at the signing of the Respect for Marriage Act at the White House.

Miss Gay Southern America 2023

DeVida, the self proclaimed Broadway Belter of the Bible Belt is an education and mental health professional by day and a Broadway drag diva by night. DeVida is known for her live vocals, creative performances, and glamorous style. DeVida is the current Miss Gay Southern America, a former Miss Gay NC America and a former Miss Charlotte Pride. She is a tireless community advocate particularly in the areas of mental heath and HIV. When not performing or working, DeVida is happy to be at home with her husband of twenty five years and their ten year old son.


Blair Williams

Entertainer/Head Judge

A 50 something year old man playing the part of a 30 something year old woman, Blair began her journey in the art of female impersonation in Charlotte, NC and was crowned Miss North Carolina for Female Impersonators 1992. Blair competed at the national Miss Gay America Pageant several times before retiring from female impersonation in 1996. In 2008, Blair re-emerged as a cast member at Club One after relocating to Savannah, GA and in 2011, returned to the world of competition. In October of 2014, she fulfilled a lifelong dream to become Miss Gay America 2015. Blair spent her year as Miss Gay America traveling around the country to promote the system as well as raising over $15,000.00 for The Trevor Project. Blair is currently the Show Director at Club One where she is also the Friday and Saturday Night hostess and emcee, and she was voted Savannah's Best Drag Queen for 2020. Blair has been married to her husband Bob for 33 years. They have 1 dog, 2 cats, 2 adult children and a host of "adopted" ones.

Tatiyanna Voche'


Jonathan Jackson also known as Tatiyanna Voche' has been a female impersonator for over 15 years.  Throughout her years, Tatiyanna has held numerous titles in the DMV area (DC, Maryland, Virginia) throughout the years but after a 16 year journey, she finally captured the title of Miss Gay America 2023 on her seventh try. To reign nationally representing a system that was and always will be close to her heart was truly one of the most amazing year of her life.  Up next, Tatiyanna was selected as a competitor for Queen of Drag this fall, a competition of all national title holders. By day, Tatiyanna is a hairstylist on Capitol Hill in Washington DC, and has successfully run her own business for the past decade.  In the little spare time she has, Tatiyanna also runs a non profit theatre company along with trying to be “uncle of the year.”

Christopher Iman


Christopher Iman from Miami, FL now residing in Atlanta, GA has been in the industry almost 20 years. He is a choreographer to many entertainers in the field and has accumulated many national titles. Some of those titles include Mr. Black Universe, Mr. Gay USofA, Wessland, Duval, National Showman, Continental, and Mr. Gay America. He enjoys entertaining and owns hhis own dance production company, Pop-N-Lock Productions, LLC.

Jacqueline St. James


Jacqueline St. James is an award winning entertainer hailing from East Tennessee. Jacqueline began her career at Connections Night club in Johnson City. TN in 1987. New Beginnings opened shortly after The Connection closed. She has won many awards during her 35+ year career. Miss New Beginnings in 1993, Miss Gay USofA at Large in 1993 and her most current title Miss Spotlight Legend 2023 to name a few. Jacqueline has been an LGBTQIA+ activist her entire adult life. She is an out trans woman and has been with her husband for 18 years. She enjoys traveling in her motorhome, spending time with cherished friends and family, and making new friends.

JaredLance:  One word and you better capitalize that "L"!


He is the reigning Mr. Gay Southern America and a top 10 finalist at Mr. Gay America 2023. This self-proclaimed main character in everyone else's story has fully immersed himself into the world of drag and pageantry. JaredLance is a classically trained ballroom dancer with styles trained in East Coast Swing, Latin, and Waltz. JaredLance is a professional stage actor in Atlanta, GA where he works with Atlanta's only LGBTQ+ Theatre Company. He is based in Atlanta with his husband, Dorian, and their son, Amaru. Outside of pageantry and male entertainment, JaredLance is a horror movie fan and a musical theatre nerd. His passions lay with entertainment, social justice, and being the funniest person in the room.

Matt Sexton


Matt Sexton grew up immersed in the entertainment industry, finding his passion for performance at a young age as a singer and dancer, while also pursuing a music career. His lifelong dedication to the arts has shaped his career path, and Matt is currently the owner of a successful talent agency that operates in the marketing and advertising space, booking individuals to promote brands at events nationwide. Matt has performed professionally at Dollywood, Silver Dollar City, and most recently, the Hatfield and McCoy Dinner Feud. Matt has represented the United States as a performer in both South Korea and Australia, and he has taught dance and performed as a singer/dancer at venues across the United States. Additionally, Matt assists in producing dance competitions across the southeast, providing a platform for young dancers to showcase their skills. Matt’s judging experience includes Miss America and Miss USA preliminary pageants, talent competitions, and hundreds of regional and national dance competitions across the country. His experience as both a performer and a judge has given him a unique perspective and deep appreciation for the hard work and dedication required to succeed as a performer and pageant contestant.
